The young singer-songwriter Pastel (that’s her real name!) is one of Montreal's best kept secrets. At only 23 years of age, she introduces Painting Fears, her first collection of tasty folk-pop songs that are delicately crafted with beautiful arrangements and poignant deliveries.

Recorded in Montreal, at Studios Victor and Los Angeles at Sound City Studios- a mythical location where The Beatles and Nirvana have also recorded- The young singer-songwriter surrounded herself with a brilliant team of experienced and talented musicians to record the album’s ten tracks. ...Eric Boudreault on drums, Scott Feldman, Jean-François Goyette and Roman Moretti on acoustic guitars, Jean-François Langevin, Jean-David Lévesque, Pascal Bédard and Jeff Handford on bass, Scott Feldman and Gilbert Crause on piano and Ariane Ouellet on violins, have all contributed to Painting Fears.

La jeune auteure-compositrice Pastel (c’est son vrai nom!) est possiblement l’une des artistes les plus surprenantes de la rentrée culturelle. Elle propose, à 22 ans seulement, une collection de chansons folk-pop finement ciselées et d'une étonnante efficacité avec Painting Fears.

Enregistrée à Montréal, aux studios Victor et Los Angeles, aux studios Sound City- le studio mythique où ont déjà enregistré les Beatles et Nirvana- La jeune auteure-compositrice- interprète originaire de Mont-Tremblant s’est entourée d’une Èquipe de musiciens talentueux et expérimentés pour réaliser les dix chansons de l'album. ...Éric Boudreault à la batterie, Scott Feldman, Jean-François Goyette et Roman Moretti aux guitares acoustiques, Jean-François Langevin, Jean-David Lévesque, Pascal Bédard et Jeff Handford à la basse, Scott Feldman et Gilbert Crause au piano et Ariane Ouellet aux violons ont tous contribué à Painting Fears.
